Bolts' bandwagon slowing down
I was driving down the street and was shocked to see even the churches are jumping off the Chargers bandwagon.

OK, OK, it’s a fake sign. After Saturday's game... I needed a little humor and cheering up. This brings up a good question, so what are you going to do this off season?

I'm coming to the realization we only have one more week of our beloved Bolts. Oh, wait we have the pro bowl, then the draft, mini camp, training camp the season is just around the corner.
Man, I cant believe this season is over.

Time to start reflecting on the mistakes of this season and what can be done to improve. We've had some impressive performances from our rookies, our veterans are getting better, and our management is doing a good job keeping everyone together. The draft is the next big suspense-filled time for me.
The only consolation I have right now is that the scheduling for next season is going to be a lot easier. This year was a killer. But we could have done just fine if we didn't make so many mistakes at critical points. I have to think that this is all just part of the growing pains of building a league-dominating force that's going to command the top spot for years to come! Go Bolts! Miami in 2007!

This was by far the most frustrating season ever. I am going to spend the offseason taking stress reducing pills, blood pressure meds and football withdrawl drugs! But seriously I hope the Chargers will take a serious look at Drew Brees NOT being our QB. He mad too many critical mistakes and has proven he is not super bowl quality QB. Also, they need to look at the Terrible play calling in the games we lost. They need to find out what works and stick with it. Pass defense needs alot of work. Okay Alright thats my take I am OUT!! Go Bolts in 2006!

This is an awesome football team. Even though we didn't make the playoffs there is so much potential for this team. I believe we are one big name safety from the superbowl. If we had a guy like Roy Williams, or Sean Taylor someone fearful we would be upstoppable. It would stop teams throwing the ball down the middle so much.

another season down the drain...hey we have a rookie OLB in the Pro-Bowl, a LB that was snubbed (Edwards) and an offense that only needs one deep threat receiver and it's over!!! Anyone else thinking using draft pick as trade bait for a DB or FS? There are three pro-bowl free agents available for our weak secondary. T.O. is available??? We have the cap room once we trade Phillips! Say what you want about T.O. he flat out performs...would have caught that last pass in Game 1 against Dallas...Would have held on to the ball against Philadelphia in the last play (too big and strong for any db strip or stop). If you think we were potent in the "GOLD" Zone this year imagine a T.O! Ignore the headlines any person who's ever played sports knows there's always one cocky SOB in the locker room.
For those who doubt Drew Brees...watch the games please, when we stop feeding L.T. and force hime to throw more he makes VERY FEW MISTAKES...even Manning gets flustered under pressure see Game 14 Chargers vs. Colts...or Chargers vs. Patriots... I''ve already ordered my season tickets and can't wait to see the chargers win the AFC WEST next year and win the SB!!! Prediction Chargers 13-3 record to win the Super Bowl by 13 points...LT will be league MVP and Edwards Super Bowl MVP...13 tackles an interception and 2 forced fumbles...

Yes it is sad that we're not in the playoffs but we did have a heck of a football season considering the hard schedule we had to go through but next season it would be more exciting that we should be looking forward to a superbowl trip but in order to do that we need to fix our secondary coverage and add one more wide receiver to decrease pressure on Gates and McArdell on the wing and slot. Folks, we are ready for the Chargers superbowl party in 2007!!! GO CHARGERS... and one more thing keep Brees in town. It takes time folks... give him a season or two... and he will take us to Disneyland along with Rivers!!!

I like the idea about getting a dominating safety. That is one area that could possibly use some help. I just think more DB depth in general is where the Chargers should go in the draft and maybe a good OL for depth purposes. But most importantly, re-sign Drew Brees. If not, it won't matter what else they do. Oh yeah, and let's hope Wade Phillips remains the D-Coordinator and doesn't become a Head Coach for the Texans as I have heard one rumor to be. We need him and his attacking 3-4 defense. Oh yeah and in response to needing another WR, his name is Vincent Jackson, he will be a star in a year or two.
