Bolts look for AFC East sweep

San Diego Super ChargersThe Chargers come into Sunday’s game against the Dolphins looking to go 4-0 this season against teams from the AFC East. The Bolts have already defeated the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots (41-17), the New York Jets (31-26) and the Buffalo Bills (48-10). In the first three games, Drew Brees completed 67 of 84 for an outstanding 79.8% completion percentage. He passed for 857 yards (285.7 yards per game) with seven touchdowns and one interception. His passer rating in the three games against teams from the AFC East is 131.99.

LaDainian Tomlinson has been equally as good. He has scored seven touchdowns, six rushing and one receiving, in the three games. His rushing totals are 69 carries for 308 yards and include 100-yard games against the Patriots (134) and Jets (107). He scored four touchdowns against the Jets, three rushing and one receiving.

Bolts Dominate AFC East In Statistics

In the three games this year, the Bolts have dominated the AFC East in total points (120 to 53), first downs (80 to 49), total net yards (1,304 to 774), rushing yards (457 to 226), touchdowns (15 to 6) and time of possession (107:12 to 72:48)

Fins on second West Coast trip

This Sunday will mark the Dolphins second trip to the West Coast in the last three weeks. On November 27, they recorded a 33-21 win over the Oakland Raiders at McAfee Coliseum.

This is just the fifth time in Dolphins history and the third time since the 1970 merger that the Dolphins have played two games in Pacific Time Zone over a three-week span or less, and the second straight year in which this has occurred. In each of the previous four times that it happened, the games took place in consecutive weeks.
