It's déjà vu for Floyd
On Wednesday the Bolts will sign wide receiver Malcom Floyd to the active roster from the practice squad. Floyd, 6-5, 201, from Wyoming spent the first 13 weeks of this season on the practice squad. Moving Floyd to the active roster will open a spot for the team to sign linebacker Roger Cooper (pending results of his physical) to the practice squad.
Interesting enough, Floyd spent last season, his rookie season, on the practice squad before being elevated to the active roster for the final four weeks of the regular season and the Chargers’ Wild Card Playoff game vs. New York Jets.
Floyd started against Kansas City on Jan. 2, 2004 and caught first-career touchdown pass of 13 yards from Philip Rivers. He also saw action as reserve in the Playoff game against the Jets.
On Monday Marty Schottenheimer announced that wide receiver Kassim Osgood will miss the remainder of the season with a torn pectoral muscle.
