The Chargers have been in this situation decade after decade and have failed. The difference between this team and the 80's and 90's team is unity and everyone stepping up to the plate, time after time. Although, San Diego has a three headed offensive monster like Dallas, SF, and many numerous great teams. This team is learning how to win, slowly. But, in the new NFL everything has to be quickly or you might miss the boat for the Fantasy Island of winning. To make a long story short. The whole season can be summed up in one game against INDY. Even if they don't go to the playoffs they would get the respect from the fans and league for the bye week problems of the schedule and the east coast flying on their schedule. All in all, I think they played real well this season and should be able to beat INDY.
