Osgood out, LT's injury insignificant

Head coach Marty Schottenheimer announced in his Monday press conference that wide receiver Kassim Osgood sustained an injury (torn pectoral) to his shoulder and will be out for the season. The team will be looking for draft pick Vincent Jackson to step in for Osgood’s absence. Schottenheimer noted running back LaDainian Tomlinson’s injury that held him out of several snap in Sunday night's victory over the Raiders as insignificant. Both players were injured in the first half. Tomlinson returned to last night's game, Osgood did not.

More information regarding today's press conference on Chargers.com will be posted later today.
