The second-year back had his biggest day as a pro in San Diego's 26-17 win at Indianapolis, running the ball eight times for a career-high 113 yards and salting the game away with an 83-yard touchdown scamper late in the fourth quarter.
Turner's previous best this season was a seven-carry, 50-yard performance in a Week 6 win at Oakland.
Not to be overlooked the Chargers defense pressured Peyton Manning all day. Manning was sacked four times and threw two interceptions, although he finished with 336 yards, many of them late.

Credit the defense. I wrote that we needed thirty points to win today but I would never have predicted zeroes on the scoreboard for three out of four quarters from Indy at home.

The 3rd down and 9 was reminiscent of 3rd down and 14 against the Steelers in the playoffs more than 10 years ago; and it was just about as unlikely. Though the playoff picture looks bleak, it could be a special season!

If you're going to jump on them when they play poorly, give them credit when they play well...Jammer and Florence take a bow boys...you look like what we've been expecting from you. I have an affinity for corner play, hardest position in football...amazing what a consistent pass rush does for a defense...it's a team game...Defense--brilliant today! Merriman will be the Chargers' second LT. Enjoy Turner the Burner while he's here because he's going to be starting somewhere else in three years. Offense--nice work in a loud place. Brees, way to bounce back in the 4th...but no more horrendous turnovers from here on in...you'll give all of us cardiacs.

I have been a Chargers fan since the mid- 1960's, and today's game was one of the best that I have ever seen played by the Chargers - even this season's Chargers/Redskins game, which I attended. Even though they may not make the playoffs, we Charger fans are proud of our team!! GO CHARGERS!!!

Today's game was great, but more important, it gives us hope for the future. Next year (if not this year with some luck) I predict the Chargers will beat the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC championship game (Peyton) and then go on to beat the New York Giants in the Super Bowl (Ely). Good thing Archie is good at taking care of his babies!

Now although the playoff picture looks a little bleak, Just remember that the lowly Raiders went to Mile High in the snow last year and beat up on Jake and Co. I'm 49 amd I've been a Charger fan since Hadl was throwing to Alworth. Today was awesome! Even better than "The Game" with Miami when Winslow stole our hearts. You guys make me so happy every year in some way. Even my kids and wife are Charger fans. GO Go Go!
