Brees Phone Home!
Quarterback Drew Brees via a conference call Wednesday discussing his recovery form shoulder Surgery. I can’t help but chuckle on seeing all the media recording the conference call. You gotta love the media.

Drew Brees will have a successful recovery and I have confidence that he will come back next year as the starting quarterback and will be better than he ever was. I feel that the Chargers are going to have a great season provided they pull it all together and play as hard as they did against the Colts.

The way Drew Brees has played the last two years, shows the determination and passion he has for the game,he will be back and the chargers will be a championship calibre team.Even though there record does not show it,this team has beaten and come close to beating the best teams in the NFL.The season of 2006 could be there year..

Drew deserves a lomg term deal. Hopefully everything will go well with his recovery and rehab and he will come back and lead us next season. Im tired of waiting for next year all the time, but next year does look promising. Lets get some O-line help for Drew and LT.

i have always known that Drew was our next Stan Humphries..., he's dedicated and wants to win in San Diego..., lets just sign him long term..., but also lets make sure he's 100% we really don't want to end up like the Jets..., with the exception of a few opponents the 2006 schedule should be a little better...!!!! " GO BOLTS "

Drew Brees is the SD Charger leader! AJ Smith knows it, Marty knows it, and the fans know it! I thought it was great that AJ called Drew before surgery to assure him that he IS the man for the job, and not to "worry"! What an awesome gesture by a great general manager. Thank you AJ Smith!!

Did anyone but me see the coments made by the doctor about Brees?
Its going to take Brees atleast a year to be ready to start in the NFL again.I personally wouldn't put my trust in an unconsistant quarterback who now has an injury that most likely he will never completely recover from.Especially when we have a perfectly good 4th pick over all just sitting on the bench.I've been a Charger fan my whole life 32 years.I really hope that AJ Smith has more sense than most of the people leaving messages here.Peace im out!

Hey Brees,
Please get better, we need you this year in 2006, and we better kick some Broncos around so that way they fall prey to us instead. We fell prey to them last year. We got some tough teams but and easier schedule than the last ones.

P.S. Have you visited India after the tsunami?

Brees is the man, heck, he should have won a few Heismans, but..... media went with the quitter out of Nebraska named Crouch. Look, its simple, sign the little guy from PU, he's a Texan that cant be beat. Perhaps for Brees bday, he'll get a longterm contract thrown his way. Well Im out to hear how my local QB is doing, Palmer in Cincy

Drew:
As you can see from almost all of the above comments, this city is inspired by your Bolt Fever, and has rallied behind you for a complete recovery. Your work ethic is unparalleled, and I have no doubt you can lead this team to something we've never seen before. I'm confident A.J. sees it the same way, and your long term contract will get handled. Lastly Drew, thanks for the last 2 years, and let's get em in September !!
