Cameron to interview with Texans

Chargers head coach Marty Schottenheimer announced today in his one o’clock press conference that the Houston Texans will interview offensive coordinator Cam Cameron for their head coaching vacancy.

Cameron will travel to Houston sometime this week.

I have had chance to be with Coach Cameron when he was coaching at Indiana. In my opinion he is a better assistant coach than a head coach. Houston would be a tough job to get as your first NFL head coaching job even if you do have Reggie Bush

I like Cam. I hope he stays with the Chargers. Houston is the worst place to live in the USA

chargers need to keep him! havent you seen how improved their offense has been in the last couple of years.

YES! I hope Houston hires him! He has made more bad calls this year than I have ever seen. Let him move on. The Chargers offense has improved because the players have improved. The offense would be even better WITHOUT Cam!

Coach Cam has done a great job in San Diego with one of the most powerful three somes in the NFL with Brees, LT, and Gates. There is more to acomplish here than in Houston. He needs to stay.

It would be good to re-tain Cam Cameron, however if he goes maybe Norv Turner could work things out between Marty and come back as the next coordinator. Or if KC is longing for Marty so bad they could give us 2 number one draft picks for him and we could lure Jimmy Johnson to SD along with Norv and T.O., in a perfect world?????!

Cameron may have helped improve the O. But he dosnt use the best player in the game enough (that of course would be LT). He tries to pass the ball 35 times in a game and only 20 times. When you have a player of LT's caliber and a backup like Turner you should run the ball to control the clock and pass to get the big yards if youre behind.

I hate to say it but I agree with Kwalkersv. I think Cam might have lost his own offence. Just no spark.
