Chargers year end notes
A few notes on the 2005 season. We must look back one last time before we look forward.
The Chargers played the NFL’s toughest schedule…their opponents’ record (143-113, .559) was the best in the NFL.
The Chargers played 11 games against teams with 9-or-more wins (includes Denver and Kansas City twice)…the win-loss record of the nine opponents with 9-or-more wins was 97-47 (.674).
The Chargers won four games against playoff teams.
The Chargers played five games against teams that won their respective divisions.
The Chargers played seven games against 2005 playoff teams.
The Chargers ended New England’s NFL-record 21-game home winning streak on Oct. 2.
The Chargers ended Indianapolis’ 13-game winning streak to start the season on Dec. 18.
The AFC West and the NFC East won more games (36) than any other division in the NFL.
The top three finishers in the AFC West (Denver, K.C. and the Chargers) combined to win 32 games, more than the top three teams in any other division.

The year end notes are good but they sound like an accuse for not winning the games they should have won this year....I would like the schedule to stay hard and team to win with that... That would give team much more confidence in playoffs.

I believe the Chargers will draft a DB first round, then a lineman second round, or first if they receive a second first round draft choice from a trade. This is very likely to happen but we'll see. I can also expect a linebacker later in the draft, along with either more lineman or skilled players. Such as a receiver (even though the Chargers don't need it).

I am REALLY excited about next year's schedule. It should make for an awesome year for the Bolts. Can't wait for the return of lil' Ben and the Steelers!

Thank you Sean. That is exactly what those notes are. You hit everything right on the head assuming when you said accuse you meant excuse.

the bolts should trade rivers for ty law (jets have bad salary cap might have to release him)and the jets draft pick so we could get a db and then a gaurd in the same round

Unless we start off by giving Mr. Rivers a shot at the quarterback position, I'm afraid we'll have more of the same. Nobody can doubt Mr. Brees' competitive spirit, I question his skills. He has not developed an awareness of the pass rush and has not learned to use his good mobility to beat the rush. He also hasn't learned to control his nerves. These are things that a "franchise player" should be able to do. I like Mr. Brees but just don't think he will lead us to glory...
