Five Bolts to start in Pro Bowl
The starting all-star lineups for the 2006 Pro Bowl were announced on Saturday and the Chargers will have five starters in Hawaii next month.
Tight end Antonio Gates, fullback Lorenzo Neal, defensive lineman Jamal Williams, linebacker Shawne Merriman and special teams player Hanik Milligan will all start for the AFC.
This year the Chargers have six that will be traveling to Hawaii. The Chargers have sent more than three players to Honolulu just twice since 1983. The most Chargers ever chosen were eight following the 1980 season.
Merriman became just the second Chargers rookie to make the Pro Bowl, following John Jefferson in 1979.
The Pro Bowl will be played at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii on Sunday, February 12. It will be broadcast live at 6:00 PM ET by ESPN.

What?? LT is not starting?? What's the deal?? Maybe because of his rib injury?? Hope he get's some playing time. It would be nice to see him burn the NFC guys again for a TD or two.

This is just another indication of how strong this club is and how bright their future is.

I am sick of saying "next year" Super Bowl or bust in '07

Drew would've been playing too if he hadn't gotten injured: with Chad out. I know you can't change the past, but I really wish Marty hadn't started him. :(

Hell yes! For Lorenzo and Jamal it's long over due. Gates will always go if he stays healthy and Shawne is gonna put a hurting on someone. Freaking "lights out"!! Buy the way, I love 'the dance'! I'm old school and don't dig that crap but for some reason I do it everytime he makes a sack!. 1-2-3 Chargers!

Don't worry, LT will get his fair share of touches, unlike during the season.....

this is proof that this team should have been in the playoffs. allstar players, but second rate head coach. bring don coryell back!!!

Why not bring Sid Gillman back? Seriously, while coaches can provide a slight edge, it's up to players to keep their heads in the game. How many bonehead plays contributed to the close losses this past season? Complete players like LT are rare. If the Chargers had more players like him, the sky would be the limit.

look everyones all pissed and talkin smack about us not making it to playoff's and what not, look on the brightside though, we had a winning season 9-7, we snapped the pats 18 home game winning streak, beat the 13-0 colts on there turf, and shoot WE GOT "LT", "LIGHTS OUT" AND THE "GATES" TO THE SUPERBOWL next year. im proud of my squad! go san dawgs.

Glad I live on Maui, just a hop away from the city life in honolulu. Hope to see some charger fans out there...and yes it is strange to see 6 players going and no playoffs? coach better step it up next year or his OKOLE will be on the hot seat.
Oh-k-oh-lay.Hawaiian word for the body part that the chargers are sitting on at home watching the playoffs. Lets go and kick some okole at the pro-bowl and continue on to next year.
GO BOLTZ
