I was at practice today and I was very impressed with Rivers.

You aint seen nuthin yet.

Been a Charger fan since 93 and have seen the team go through its ups and downs. I like the way our GM has built this team and his decision to go with Phillip Rivers vice sticking with Drew. Drew was instrumental in our team's success for the last 2 yrs and has contributed tremendously to Phillip's development. Drew was a good leader and I wish him success with the Saints. But this is Phillip's time. He came on not having to be pushed into the starting role right off the bat and learning the position here as a back-up. He's absorbed every informtion he's been given and has showed the leadership skills needed for the position. I think he'll have great success here and he adds his talents to our already talented team. Go Chargers!

This is exactly how they did it in the old days, slowing bringing up a QB. I think the time on the bench for Philip will prove to be a tremendous advantage.

I WAS AT TRAINING CAMP AND THE WHOLE SQUAD LOOKED GREAT,MERRIMAN'S A BEAST L.T IS A MONSTER AND FOLEY'S THE SIZE OF A TANK.GO CHARGERS!!!!111

been a charger fan since 70 use to see all games with my dad just moved back to sandiego from tx cant wait for super bowl this is the year of the bolt.

I have been a charger fan ever since my dad introduced me to the chargers and watching Dan Fouts and Kellen Winslow as a little boy, I was watching when we got jim macmahn, and i'm haunted by memories of guys like john friez bob galiano and billy joe tolliver, craig wiehlehan eric kramer the list goes on and on. Then brees who was good, and i'm not taking a shot at him But i felt that there were several instances where either an under or over throw changed the game with turnovers. He doesn't do nearly as well against talented defenses as he did against mediocre defenses. Now we got this kid named Rivers and i think he's gonna be great, he's already showing tremendous leadership qualites and i've seen him in camp where he looked pretty sharp. I am excited to see how this will play out.
