Training Camp History
Chargers Park is the ninth training camp site in the 46-year history of the San Diego Chargers. The team held its initial training camps in San Diego in 1961-62 at the University of San Diego. In 1963 the team trained at Rough Acres Ranch in Boulevard, Calif., located in the rugged hills east of San Diego. The Chargers also trained in Escondido (1964-68) and at the University of California-Irvine (1969-1973), United States International University (1974-75), University of California-San Diego (1976-2002) and the Home Depot Center in Carson, California (2003-04).

I miss the La Jolla site. I have good memories go to UCSD with my Dad in the late 70's

I miss the Carson training camp, I live in Long Beach so it was very close. Fan apprieciation last year wasn't very good because they only signed autographs for kids 12 and under....they should include EVERYONE!

I miss UCSD aswell But I Love Chargers Park ! it Was Fabulous ! Last Year and Mini Camp this Year. I cant Waite To See The Chargers in a Charger facility again ! I think it Works out Better at Chargers Park . I hope Josh Lewen can Call some of the Practice as He Did Last Year . Go Go Boltz !

Will anyone be able to gets autographs at FanFest this year? I took my nephew to it when it was in Carson, but it was cool to get signatures myself as well.

you forgot about the 1960 training camp. you do remember that the chargers played in los angles their first year. that where i became a life long chargers fan.
