Merriman to drop appeal?
According to U-T’s beat writer Kevin Acee, Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman has decided on Tuesday to drop the appeal of his four-game suspension. Merriman maintains he was the victim of a tainted supplement, but knew he was unlikely to win his appeal based on the NFL's policy that players are responsible for what they put in their body.
Merriman leads the NFL with 8 1/2 sacks.
