Friday, June 26 is the deadline to apply for scholarship and grants available to students and schools in the San Diego community.

Applications for the Chargers Champions Scholarship and School Grant Program are available on www.chargers.com and must be postmarked by Friday, June 26.

Chargers Champions, a program of the Chargers Community Foundation, consistently provides more support for San Diego-area schools and students than any other corporate donor in the County.

The Chargers Champions Student Leader Scholarships are awarded to high school juniors who are “making a difference” in their schools and communities through a commitment to leadership and service. Each of the selected students will receive a $5,000 tuition scholarship, and a lap-top computer.

Chargers Champions also will select schools from throughout San Diego County to receive grants for improving physical fitness, athletic or nutrition programs on school campuses.
