Norv wrap up
Posted by on August 17, 2009 – 1:08 PMCoach Turner just finished his “day after press conference,” which actually came two days after since players were off Sunday. (Coaches did work, though). He reiterated what he said Saturday night about feeling good about getting LT some time. He really liked the first-team defense.
Norv talked about a lot of individual players and their performances the other night, which we’ll get in the notebook tonight. Some highlights:
-Merriman looked “quick, confident and physical”
-Buster was at full speed and impressive. Feeling fine after taking a lot of big hits.
-Gregory is playing with a lot of confidence
-Vasquez is close to getting back. He’s hoping to have him and Larry English by mid week
-Lots of other vets like Cooper and Jacques should practice today. Forney will take a day off after playing Sat. but probably will practice tomorrow.
-Starters will be told to get ready to play a half Saturday in Arizona. LT will probably get another 4-6 touches.
The team practices from 4-6 this afternoon and I’ll blog to fill you in on what happens.

Good stuff CP, thanks. Can you ask the webmaster to delete the depth chart until it is up to date? It shows Wilhelm and not Merriman, etc.
Frustrating. The TC roster is up to date – thanks.
