Practice in Photos: August 1
Ryan Mathews. Fans. Full pads. Plenty of catches by Malcom Floyd.
Sunday was a busy day at Chargers Park, but there were plenty of good images. That’s why I’m bringing you an extended version of practice in photos. Here goes:

Let's get right to the chase. RB Ryan Mathews stiffarms FS Eric Weddle downfield after a play during blitz period.

Nearly 4,000 fans on hand at Chargers Park loved seeing Mathews take handoffs from QB Philip Rivers in full pads.

Energized by the day's events, Mathews said it was time he started to earn the five-year contract he signed hours before practice.

But the offense wasn't the only side making plays. Here, LB Jyles Tucker waits for a RB in the backfield. He later tipped a pass at the line of scrimmage.

LS David Binn can do more than snap the football. He helps the WRs warm up each day with well-thrown footballs.

- Chargers fans were all smiles as the public watched its first training camp practice at Chargers Park in two years.
Stay true and keep pounding,
Christopher
