Training Camp Recap: Aug. 8
Posted by on August 8, 2011 – 7:18 PMThree days before the preseason opener, the Chargers stayed in training camp mode Monday with a morning special teams walk-through and a padded practice in the afternoon.
The Chargers spent several plays working on special blitz situations and red zone offense/defense.

T Steve Schilling (sixth round) and DE Corey Liuget (first round) engage in a best-of-three pass-rush drill as Head Coach Norv Turner watches and QB Billy Volek serves as Liuget's target.

Liuget blew past Schilling on the first rep, but the former Michigan Wolverine stood him up at the line on the second attempt. Liuget got penetration on the deciding snap, but Schilling held hiim off enough for the offense to consider it a win, encouraging a bit of a celebration from QB Philip Rivers.

All three got their hands on the football. At first it appeared Robinson secured a catch, but Stuckey twisted the ball away as the pile of bodies fell to the ground.
Stay true and keep pounding,
Christopher
