Training Camp Recap: Aug. 14

Posted by Christopher Smith on August 14, 2011 – 7:32 PM

The Chargers have zipped through two focused, high-energy practices after the preseason opener. They’ll be at Chargers Park the next three days before catching a plane to Dallas.

Eric Weddle, Bob Sanders, Vincent Jackson and Quentin Jammer (not pictured) chase a deep ball.

Weddle had a read on it, but Jackson turned into a defensive back. He might've made contact with Weddle a tad early, but he broke up the potential interception.

Weddle counted it as a drop and cranked out 10 pushups.

RB Ryan Mathews picks up Weddle on a blitz, successfully turning him outside.

WR Malcom Floyd can't control a catch as Jammer and ILB Takeo Spikes hover nearby.

QB Philip Rivers asks for a receiver to go in motion.

WR-KR Bryan Walters gathers himself during a kickoff return.

CB Dante Hughes, LB Kion Wilson and ILB Donald Butler streak downfield in kickoff coverage.

Stay true and keep pounding,
Christopher

Weddle, you play D for a reason. DB’s Can’t catch a contested ball. Great effort though, love the dicipline
