Pregame Photos: Raiders-Chargers

Posted by Christopher Smith on November 10, 2011 – 5:55 PM

Here are some photos from Qualcomm Stadium ahead of tonight’s prime time AFC West rivalry game, courtesy of Mike Nowak:

OLB Antwan Barnes will get his third career NFL start, all in 11 days, in place of Shaun Phillips. Barnes never has played this many snaps but has three sacks in the last two games and will be key for the Chargers tonight.

K Nick Novak looks to continue his strong season on Thursday Night Football. Novak currently is on pace to eclipse the team's all-time record for most accurate regular season by a field goal kicker.

The NFL Network's pregame crew discusses the game shortly before the Chargers take the field.

The Chargers are honoring the military in recognition of Veteran's Day (tomorrow).

Fans will be asked to hold up colored placards which spell out a "thank you" message to local military.

FB Jacob Hester, the only Chargers back to play in every game this season, will lead a full backfield including Ryan Mathews, Mike Tolbert and Curtis Brinkley tonight against Oakland.

Stay true and keep pounding,
Christopher

Dear Mr. Spanos, if you don’t have the guts to get rid of those two clowns (AJ and Norv) then please!!!!!! sell the team to someone who does and will bring us a super bowl.

I will never pay to see the Chargers play live again as long as AJ and Norv are still there. The Lords of no rings!!!!!!!!!!

    CHARGERS BABY FAN 4 LIFE
    NO MATTER WHAT
BE A FAN FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME AN KNOW THAT NOT TWO PEOPLE MAKE A TEAM OR AN ORGANIZATION YES IT IS FLAWED AT TIMES BUT THE SEASON IS HOW IT IS AND WILL BE UNLESS A CHANGE IS MADE ON AND OFF THE FIELD. THE SD CHARGERS ARE A GOOD TEAM. THE RAIDERS WERE JUST BETTER THAT NIGHT. SINCE ’95 WE HAVE BEEN SUPERBOWL-LESS IT IS TIME FOR OWNERS AND COACHES TO STEP UP AS WELL AS PLAYERS.
INJURY DEVISTATES ALL TEAMS. START PREPING THE BACKUPS AND THE THIRD/PRACTICE TEAM PLAYERS AS WELL TO BE CALLED UP AT ANY TIME. MAYBE NOT THIS SEASON BUT IN THE CLOSE FUTURE WE WILL GET THOSE RINGS AND PENNANTS. IT JUST TAKES TIME.
SO BE A TRUE FAN AND QUIT THE BITCHING AND WATCH A GOOD GAME OF FOOTBALL
BOLT UP AND ROOT FOR THE SD CHARGERS. THEY CAN STILL PULL OUT AN AFC WEST TITLE.

@ BoltingGinger76…Amen to that. Altough the Charger’s are definately not playing to good this year compared to previous years. They are still my team till the end. Who am i, or anyone to complain. They’ re doing their best, regardless, if we win or not. I like to see these so called Charger’s fans who complain, get on that field and do what they do…Ya right! So stop your whinning, maybe you switch to the whinners(9ers) instead…Charger’s all day, everyday! God Bless the Charger’s and we will get our Superbowl ring…Where’s your faith in the Charger’s people? CHARGER’S YOU ROCK!!!! GOD BLESS:)”
