Hello again Chargers fans! Kendall Reyes here. I have a few moments this morning before I head to the facility on our off day so I figured I’d write a new entry about how things are going so far.
Simply put, training camp has been an awesome experience!
This first week has been a great week. Getting back on the field with the guys , putting the pads back on, it felt great. I love being around the other guys on the defensive line. We’re a super tight knit group and they are all helping me get adjusted to life in the NFL. They’re super funny too. When the whole group gets together off the field you can’t help but laugh. We’re a family out here. I’m the little brother, and it’s all good.
A special thank you to all the fans who came out to watch us the last couple days. I mentioned in the last blog how much I enjoy playing in front of all of you and you didn’t disappoint. Your support means a lot. I really appreciate it.
We’ve been working real hard so it feels good to have this off day today. I’m heading to the facility in a bit to make sure my legs get right in the cold tub and do all the little things to keep my body right. Then I’m thinking I’ll watch some film too. But after that I’m just gonna relax and get ready to get back out there tomorrow.
Till next time,

What’s up Chargers Nation? The last few days have been a lot of fun for me. Just getting back out on the field, it feels great. I’m definitely excited to be here and I feel like we’ve picked up a lot these last few days. It’s good for us to get our feet wet before the vets come in, so it’s been a great experience.
I really enjoyed having the opportunity to play with a couple of vets out there like Larry English and Philip Rivers. I had a chance to play with them during the OTAs, but it felt different this time being out there with them. It means a lot for us rookies to have them come in early and show us the ropes a little bit, and of course it helps them prepare for the year as well. So I really want to stress what a great experience working with them has been like.
I’m really looking forward to getting the whole team together tomorrow. We’re going to work hard and progress as a unit at a good speed. It’s really exciting to think about the whole team, and us as individuals, working to get ready to make this season a success.
One last thing before I head out – come check us out this Saturday here at Chargers Park! I love it when you, the fans, come out and enjoy this experience with us. I promise you won’t be disappointed. You’re going to see a team working hard to get better and win a lot of games together, so it should be a lot of fun.
Till next time,

What’s up Chargers fans? Kendall Reyes here. I’m real excited about doing this blog and giving you guys some insight into the life of a rookie.
It all started with the draft obviously, and I’ve been real busy since then. It was really special when I got drafted because I had my whole family with me. And I mean my whole family. It’s been a long time since we were all together like that so that meant a lot to me.
After I was selected, I came out here and did the press conference, which was a great first experience. Then I went back home and worked out for two weeks before coming back here and getting started on the OTA’s. That was another great experience as I got introduced to the playbook and met a lot of the guys. I’ve been learning a lot since then, and I feel like I’m fitting in well with the team. I’ve been working really hard to try to get used to a new system and playing with my new teammates.
The last couple weeks I spent back home, but have still been working really hard. I had the rookie symposium, which I really enjoyed. And now I’m back in town for good and ready to get started. California’s beautiful, and while I haven’t had a ton of free time, when I do get some time to myself I’ve gone to the beach a bunch. I also checked out Sea World which was pretty fun too.
It’s really nice out here, but to me it’s all about working hard and getting better every day. I’ve been working with Jacques Cesaire a lot. He’s one of the guys on the defensive line that has been looking out for me and helping me get ready for training camp, which starts Sunday when rookies report.
It’s hard to express just how excited I am for it all to begin. I definitely want to prove myself to this team and organization that I will do anything to help this team win. I’m excited and ready to compete and ready to play.
I’ll be sure to check in with you guys next week and let you know how the first couple days have gone.
