Let’s Get it Started!

What’s new Chargers Nation?

I’m sitting here extremely excited for my first NFL game Monday night. It’s been a long time coming, and now it’s around the corner, so it’s really exciting. It’s hard to believe it’s finally here, but this is what we’ve all been waiting for and we’re ready.  And also just knowing the big rivalry between the Raiders and the Chargers, it’s going to be a real fun and exciting game.  I’m ready to go. To play football in the NFL is a dream come true.

Thanks to everyone who have been leaving fan questions for me or who have come up to me on the street.  Sorry I can’t get to all of them, but here are my answers to some of the more popular ones.

Why do you wear number 91?

I wear it because that’s the number that was given to me when I joined the Chargers organization.  But I absolutely love it.

What’s your favorite bonding experience so far?

Just when I first got here, a couple of the guys on the D-line got together and had dinner.  It gave me a chance to really get to know everyone and feel comfortable.  We’ve been going out a lot as a unit so I really enjoy that.

What’s the biggest difference between UConn and the Chargers?

The biggest difference has to be that I’m no longer in school and don’t have to go to classes!  But UConn was a great school, and the Chargers are a great organization, so they are similar in that regard.  But this is the next level so you have to be professional in everything you do.

Which veterans have taken you under their wing?

Man, honestly, just about everyone on the D-line has supported me a whole lot. We all treat each other pretty fairly and respect each other, so it’s like a brotherhood.  But if I have to pick one person, I have to say Antonio Garay has been looking out for me a whole lot so I appreciate it.

Well that’s it for this week.  If you have any more questions just leave them here and I’ll try to get to them next time.  I’ll talk to you guys next week, hopefully after a win!

Kendall, be careful. The Raiders are notorious for inflicting hurt on Chargers players. They also like to play dirty. Just play sound, physical football and you’ll do fine.

Welcome to the NFL Kendall. I hope you have a long and prosperous career. What advice have you gained and have implemented to help you stay healthy and to promote longevity with such a dangerous sport?

    Thanks

I can only imagine what it’s like to step into the next level and then to be not only opening against an arch rival but doing it in “the black hole”. All the best to the D-line. Give them hell!

Monday Night, take a few moments and take a look at the crowd.

THEY are the raider NATION. WE are Charger Fans.

When you see them, you will realize why we get offended by the term
    Chargers Nation.

I have been a Chargers Fan for over 30 years. I hate everything that is raiders and NATION is part of it.

    Please stop.

Hey Kendall, what’s the funniest rookie prank you’ve seen so far, and what was the prank on you?

Kendall, welcome to the NFL i am excited as our many other Chargers fans as you seem like an athlete that can be an instant contributor to the defense. it seems the chargers always have just one small part of the team that is defective and then thats why they miss the playoffs or lose in them. this is the year the chargers take the next step, whether it is up or down

I truly hope the Chargers can pull this one out, but I’m am not confident with Norv at the helm, he has proven his talents as a head coach and the Chargers have gone down hill since he has become HC. how stupid is the ownership to continue down a losing path. The Spanos family is not concern with winning but holding onto their $money. They haven’t figured out how winning brings in the dollars. We NEED A JIM HARBAUGH or someone like him to run our team. Somebody please buy the Chargers and bring them back to L.A. where the $$$money is! and where we can win the big game
