Posted by Nicoletta Ruhl on September 16, 2012 – 4:58 PM

After a Sunday of Chargers football excellence, Coach Turner decided the game ball deservedly had to be given to the entire offensive and defensive line. The defensive line held one of the league’s best rusher’s in Chris Johnson, to a total 17-yards rushing while the Chargers offensive line allowed for 148 total yards rushing and Rivers to go 24 for 32, with 284 yards, and 3 TDs. A final score of 38-10 on a blistering hot day in San Diego puts the Chargers at 2-0 on the season.

I think Rosario for his 3 TD’s. Randy McMichael for the 2 fumble recoveries they were huge. Last but not least our Defense as a unit.

Don’t forget Jackie Battle who revived the run game and scored twice.

I think Shaun Phillips played awesome today. He might not have put up the numbers we’re used to, but he was constantly pressuring Locker and making him throw the ball before he wanted to. I agree, the defense as a unit deserves a ball, probably for the second straight game. Let’s hope they can keep that up!

Offensively, you gotta go with Donte Rosario and his 3 TDs, more specifically the first 2 that really got us going in the first quarter. It was huge to get off to a good start, and the way our defense was playing you knew that we didn’t have to score much. Overall, very sound game by all units. Looking forward to a big test at home against Atlanta next week. Go Bolts!
