And the Game Ball Goes to ….

Posted by Nicoletta Ruhl on September 30, 2012 – 2:23 PM

Coach Turner couldn’t help but give his game ball to three players after today’s decisive victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, Jackie Battle, Demorrio Williams, and Le’ron McClain, all three of whom’s last performance at Arrowhead was in a Chiefs uniform.
Today, all three players were given a token of gratitude for their performance representing the blue and gold.

I think that Donald Butler should have also won the game ball. He played very very well today.

Nick Novak deserved a game ball. Coming off the street on short notice to make every kick asked of him. A professional job that should have been rewarded. But Norv Turner doesn’t know Dick Post, as in that idiot call throwing a backwards lateral to the poor ball-securing Ryan Matthews just after getting a turnover with a 20-0 lead that could have put the dagger in early. Norv kept the other team in the game. Just like “It” always does. Good coaches put their team in a position to win. Norv ALWAYS puts the cHargers in a position to lose, even in games that should have been decided much earlier. I am sick of that IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today we saw the real Chargers. Smart, classy and efficient in all three phases of the game.

The animal rights groups must be happy that people don’t kick their dogs any more when they are mad, just post hate notes about Norv.

Come on, can’t a day go by without some attack on the guy? He gets blasted when they win, blasted when they lose, blasted when the Dodgers lose – it’s pathetic.

    Can’t we move on?

Let’s plan a no bash Norv week and see if the comments about the Chargers can become a little more thoughtful and intelligent.

viniciusvbf, I agree. Williams was good; Butler was better. 4 tackles, 2 assisted tackels, .5 sacks, interception for pick 6. Yes, he had one penalty on a 3rd down that kept a Chiefs drive alive, but overall, he was an impact player, deserving of the game ball.

flipper … patrick is right though ….. I never feel like relaxing during the game until the last second ,,,, Norv has a way of letting these games slip through our fingers more times then not …. in fact I feel lucky when we win !! Norv has to go !! I love my SD CHARGERS,,, but another 1 and done in the playoffs saves that asses ass and thats the day I give up my season tickets ….. I just cant do it 14 years in a row !!

This year San Diego Chargers can go all the way. A.J. Smith has done a great job in recruiting new excellent football players and hiring new coaches who know how to really coach. On Defense, Chargers are getting turnovers; on Offense, a great combination of pass and rush; on Special teams, flawless, no long opponent kickoff returns. Go, Chargers, all the way!

If you can’t relax when you have a blowout and force six turnovers, I don’t think you will ever be capable of relaxing. I love the phrase “dagger in the heart” as if every play you call will work and you can control every play in the game like the other team isn’t still playing to win. There are no perfect games. If there was, the score would always be 100 to nothing in your favor. Perrennial Norv-haters don’t appreciate winning at all. How messed up is that?

The KC game was a good win for us. However we need to practice the art of know how to win. I believe we are on our way to a great season. The chargers have a lot of season veterans on the team. Lets just cheer for our bolts and leave the hating aside.

All of you saying Norv was letting them back in it.. While I agree his play calling in the 3rd quarter was awful and way too safe, with the way our defense was playing the entire game, why call a play where a big negative play can ensue? We were never up by less than 14 points after the first quarter. 14 POINTS! Get real and start believing, this team is talented. 3-1 and our offense hasn’t clicked yet, and we haven’t played an entire 60 minute game to our potential. I’d say Norv deserves a game ball for the first quarter of the season.

Hey we’re winning so stop whinnig. Norv in my opinion is a cordinator yes,but give him credit. A.J. finally gave him so needed help in alot of areas that werent there before. I think he’s doing a good job and so is his coaching staff.

    GO CHARGERS!!!

And now that the cHargers are 3-3 after 2 losses where we clutched defeat from the jaws of victory, and all you NORV TURNER butt lickers are exposed as the MORONS that you are.

It’s idiot cHarger fans like you that gave the Spanos regime the cover to keep us in LOSERVILLE.

    GO TO HELL!!!!!!
