Butler Named AFC Defensive Player of the Week

Following a monster game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Donald Butler was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week. In the game, the third-year pro notched six tackles, half a sack, had one pass defensed, and, perhaps most impressively, had an interception returned 21-yards for a touchdown.

Chargers Terminate Contract of Micheal Spurlock

The San Diego Chargers have terminated the contract of wide receiver Micheal Spurlock. The team needed to make a move in order to create room for the newly signed Chris Carr.

Spurlock primarily served as the team’s back-up punt returner, fielding six punts.  However, Carr has plenty of experience in that role as well so the Bolts shouldn’t miss a beat.
