Mathews Misses Practice

Posted by Ricky Henne on October 10, 2012 – 4:32 PM

Ryan Mathews sat out of practice today as the Chargers started preperations for the Denver Broncos.  Although the team will not put out an injury report until tomorrow, head coach Norv Turner said he expects everyone who missed practice today to be able to play on Monday night.

Turner was also effusive in his praise of Mathews.  Here is what he had to say about him during his press conference with the media:

“Every time he has adversity or a setback, he comes back stronger.  He’s done that since he’s been here.  Every time everyone wants to count him out he comes back and he’s better.  He’s just a mentally tough guy that when he’s on and he’s right, he’s really good.”

The Chargers better come out for this game with Denver angry after how those refs blew that game with bogus calls. But, then again, it is Norv Turner, who’s teams will always be soft and afraid regardless of who they are playing!

Put him in. He wants to play and SD needs him NOW!! I’ll never understand why he sat for most of the 2nd half against the Saints but that shouldn’t ever happen again. I suspect his balls were dragging to low for too long and by halftime they were way too chaffed. Ryan, tie ‘em up and put in an historic performance on Monday bro. We all know that you have some amazing shite in you man. Let’s freakin’ see it!!

Under the spotlight on MNF – it’s your time to shine Ryan! Play pissed and run hard, and your teammates will feed off your energy. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT let the Broncos come into OUR HOUSE and push us around!
