The fine art of creating an excuse before the game begins.

@ Frank R. – Injury reports aren’t posted as excuses but as information for concerned and curious fans. And btw, a good fan is supportive and not over critical or prematurely pessimistic!

Frank R. has been a failure all his life. Look at his grammar: “fines”? lol it’s “finds”. Low I.Q. people ALWAYS break words into smaller words as well overcome is one word not two lol GO BOLTS!

that means Antonio Garay will be playing?? if it does thats fucking awesome… guareentee that he will generate some pass rush up the middle on manning!! lets go bolts! #boltup

Rivers throws to a player that gains yards then never throws the ball to that player again. The players he continually throws to gain a few yards or never catches the ball at all! Why does he not go back to the player that catches all the balls and gains yards. Can someone help me understand his plays. I love Rivers but confused about the game play. Thanks for your input

    This is a noBrainer!!!
1.Run Mathews to open the passing game.
    2. Dont sit Mathews in 2nd half when game is close!
    3. Dont have Phillip throwing 27 consecutive passes in the closing quarters!
    4. Our run game is our biggest asset against thier pass rush between Mathews and Battle!

Chargers win the turnover ratio and protect Phillip with max protection, Chargers win 30-17

@DaCharger, I agree with you, our run game will open up the passing game. @ Gregg. Go! Back to the nerd table. @ ffuryy50 understood

I Honestly believe that Norv has heard all the backlash from the fans, sports talk, and the front office about him sitting Mathews that last game that we could have won had he not stopped the one thing the Saints did not have an answer for !! RYAN MATHEWS !! Believe me, he will make the adjustment and be sure that Mathews starts and will run them (Mathews and Battle) often to spread the offense and keep them on thier heels on the run game. Denver is ranked 21st on the run deffense where San Diego is ranked 3rd overall on run defense!! This is a great opportunity for Norv to win back alot of fan support by answering the blog demand of using what great weapon we have in Mathews. He was averaging 6.3 yards per carry last week and could have had more had he not been sat. Ok, im off the soap box on this!! RUN MATHEWS and CHARGERS WIN BABY!! BOLTUP !!!

What we need is a pass rush & good play by the offensive line.

    Chargers need better trainners.

Just so we are all clear here, injury reports are not made for the fans, they are a check and balance system for the league and the opposing team. Secondly not sure if Norv or anyone else in the Charger organization cares what the fans might think. These men get paid a lot of money to spend nearly every waking hour of the day scheming their opponent. Yes the fans play a role in the game but players and coaches do this for themselves ( for their love of the game) not the fans love of the team. These men are under enough pressure without clueless fans spouting their useless opinions at them. I would be surprised if they every read the sports page to see how everyone is “feeling” about their performance last week.

    Umm, Jess,

If your last OPINION is correct, you are saying that the front office said nothing to Norv about the last 27 schemes he he ran of pass plays and not ONE run play in the closing quarters of the saints game…Yep, I can absolutley believe that….

The forum is for fans to voice their opinion regardless if Norv or A.J dont read them.

    LIGHTEN UP DUDE…BOLTUP!!!!

    GO CHARGERS !!!!

If Royal and Floyd can’t go, we are down to Meachem and Goodman as the top two WRs. That’s scary, but hopefully the TE’s can take advantage.

  17. By dacharger1 on Oct 15, 2012 | Reply

If Goodman has to play, no better time for him to step in to get some needed experience that will help us later in the season…He has good potential. Our tightends will help us spread the field with our rumnimg game

I agree that Norv has to rum mathew more than he has in the past. Been a Charger Fan since 1963 when i took in my frist Professian Football game in Balboa Statuim. Since then i have been hooked so i have seen them come and go both players and coaches. Best HC we have ever had was bobby ross, he took a team that was a mix of players to the Superbowl yes we didn’t win bcause the 49ers were a better team at the time.. If Ross can take us to the Big Game then Norv can too Boltup and Go Chargers

It is so dissapointed no one say one words, one simple but powerful words ” I’m sorry ” after the losing game anybody or every team will say “we can fix this ” saying I’m sorry for not doing their job will require above ball players skill ? I guess.
if you guys keep acting like you don’t care fans; or keep disrespecting all the royal fans, believe me. One day there will be no more Chargers in our beautiful San Diego. I still hope Chargers are not bunch head case group.
Use this time off wisely, watch film. Then find many mistake and learn frm it. ” Let’s go Chargers “

Well said, Dayju, perhaps we are making more then we should, however I have only been a fan of SD for about 18 years since I moved from LA and I want the best for our team and it pains me to see losses like that. I will consider my words the next time I post. I will “BOLT UP”. Go Bolts!

  21. By DaCharger1 on Oct 20, 2012 | Reply

Well said…Year in and year out for past 4-5 years we have been hearing the same old line, WE CAN FIX THIS! WELL When!! Still scratching my head to this day on how you fire a 14-2 head coach and bring in a below average and below .500 coach as a replcement!!!!

  22. By Sheryl O on Oct 21, 2012 | Reply

They’re is a saying in AA, it goes something like this” you can’t keep doing the same things that you’ve always done and expect different results”.I for one think its time to be trying something new! It obviously couldn’t hurt!! Who knows maybe it might help, I say lets give it a go!?

Please Mr. Spanos. Chargers need better coaches. Norv Turner isnt a winner. Start looking a replacement for Phillip Rivers .
