I feel if the Chargers would fix the O line they would immediately see an improvement in the passing game, running game, and less interceptions. Looking at ESPN it shows Rivers as the 9th most sacked quarterback while the Manning brothers are both near the bottom in terms of being sacked. Rivers has a quick release throw for short/medium passes but he still needs more time from better protection so he doesn't have to hurry so many throws. I know I said this before on the Charger site but gee Clary #66 can you not do your usual imitation of a Don Quixote windmill this next game against the pass rushers?

I was really excited when I had heard Meachem was picked up the Chargers, but up to now I haven't been impressed. He doesn't make an attempt to even try and catch any of Rivers passes at all! I don't see him coming back or diving for any he just expects the ball to fall into his hands and when it does he drops it. I say give the others a chance.GO CHARGERS!!!!

I was glad when Meach got here, but don't tell me he needs more time to aclimate, this is week 10, if you haven't learned your job yet (run, catch, run more) then you haven't earned your multi- million $ signing bonus, let alone whatever your portion of the $176,000 a week you and Royal get paid. I like ya Meach, but either earn your money or sit and let Tutu and Alexander show you how to get open and catch the ball. GO BOLTZ!!!

I have to say that I agree with Billy. I have been watching the games and except for one, I can't blame Rivers for the losses. The O-line is like a department store door that opens automatically when any pair of feet touch the ground in front of it. How many times do we have to watch another wide receiver drop a ball because it hit him right in the hands?Frankly Matthews has not lived up to expectations. The last, of several, fumbles he lost cost the Chargers the game. It's been a while since that game but the way I remember it, the Chargers could have kicked a field goal from where they lost the ball. That would have won it. If you want to start handing out blame for the current state of the team, start at AJ's door.

It's funny when people start questioning Rivers' armstrength as being the reason that none of the Chargers' receivers, except Floyd, seem to be producing. If I remember right, Rivers did a fine job against the Brownies of putting the ball right between the "1" and the "2" on Meachems' jersey late in the game that would have given the Chargers a much-needed touchdown, except that Meachem forgot to catch it and the Chargers lose 7-6. If he catches that ball and finishes walking into the endzone, the Chargers are 5-3 and tied with Denver for first in the division. Instead, the Chargers are looking from behind again after choking up three games in a row - each that they should have won - and people now questioning Rivers' arm strength or saying something else is wrong with him instead of pointing out all of the drops that the receivers "make" or the horrible protection he gets from his offensive line. Rivers is there every single offensive play, and it seems that there is no one else capable of helping him succeed. These over-paid receivers need to step-up and do their jobs when called upon. Or better yet, when the Chargers find themselves with a dominating receiver like Vincent Jackson, maybe they should pay a litle extra to keep him around...

Meacham I believe he has the potential to do well as a slot receiver. I think they need to get rid of Eddie Royal and Keep Floyd.Alexander,Meacham and Tutu. Tutu and Floyd are a threat opening the feild for Slants and drag routes for Meacham and Alexander.

We dont have TOP quality receivers...we have a bunch of average WR's at best. Even when Meachem was playing, he hasnt held his own jock. Royal pretty much gave up on us on Monday Nite Football....Floyd has been solid. Until we bring in someone that can design better plays on offense, we arent going to do much in this league.....We run the same boring plays...run on first and second, throw on third.....We dont utelize our players the way they should be. Why not give Plax a chance? T.O? We have nothing to lose. We are pretty much done this year...our schedule is against us. and the way we are playing, we will be lucky if we finish 8-8.....Lose to tampa, Lose to the broncos, lose to the Steelers, and lose to the Jets. until next year....
