Chargers Announce Injury Report vs. Buccaneers

Posted by Ricky Henne on November 9, 2012 – 1:37 PM

The Chargers just announced their injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Antwan Barnes is listed as doubtful.

Jared Gaither, Corey Liuget and Demorrio Williams are questionable.

Atari Bigby, Chris Carr, Robert Meachem, Shaun Phillips and Eddie Royal are all probable.

Barnes injured his hamstring late in the game against the Chiefs and had to be helped off the field.  He has not practiced all week, instead watching the team from the sidelines with his leg wrapped up.

Meanwhile, Gaither (groin) and Liuget (hamstring) were limited in practice on Wednesday before being kept out on Thursday and Friday. Williams, meanwhile, has been limited the entire week after injuring his abdomen against the Chiefs.

The rest of the injuries to Bigby (quad), Carr (quad), Meachem (hamstring), Phillips (finger) and Royal (hamstring) do not appear to be serious and they all are expected to play.

Gaither just can’t seem to stay on the field. It seems that as good as he can be, it is just too hard for him to stay on the field. Please draft some good O lineman in the next draft!

hopefully Troutman will be on the field soon! can’t wait!

I agree he seems to not be able to stay healthy. He’s a good Big LT but every other week hes always out.

Gaither needs to be gone at the end of this season.. Can’t stay healthy/ big liability

This team really needs a GM and Coaching change! Knowing Dean Spanos, he will bring people who are even worse than AJ and Norv! He just doesn’t have the kahunas to get anything done when it comes to winning a championship!

i hate to admitted but i have the same feeling as Bobby ,these game its a lose with all those injuries . i told you chargers fans don’t take the last win over chiefs as” chill pill ” .keep voting for “to clean the house Mr Spanos “.fire AJ ,Norve and start thinking to draft a DL and QB.rivers time is up !!

hey, Ganesh Subramanyam, the word you are looking for is cajones not “kahunas”, kahunas is a hawian word, you know the “big kahuna” meaning like a cheif, and cajones is a spanish word meaning Balls,…lmao

and bobby dont get ahead of urself, im a street hooper from time to time, me n a group of buddies went up against some other kids 5 on 5 full court, and a few of them have played in leagues for years, i played and tried my hardest with lacking the abilities that they had by far, our whole team did, but it was the feeling of Wanting to win and playing with the heart to do so lead us to win, what im trying to say is regardless of injuries, the backups that had less time on the field Will step up and take control if they had the heart to do so. its faith, heart, teamwork, and the willingness to win

Skills X Passion = WIN !! Come on Bolts – dig down deep inside and keep winning!!!!

When the O Line performs well, Rivers and the RB’s will do great. Spend the $$ on Lineman ( both sides of the ball) , and we’ll have a team. Getting tired of hope’n for the Chargers to make it to the “big show”. Bolt owners need to commit and put the money into the team. Seems were aLways looking for a “stars” coming from college. I guess thats cause you get them cheap. So much for being a team sport. Losing faith quickly in a team I’ve loved since 1980. and all the way from the east coast.

Wow…Just saw Zachsters comment and the few above. Could not agree more. I was born and raised on the East coast but have been a passionate Bolts fan since I was a kid. Dan Fouts days. I live in Colorado now and have always traveled to Denver to see the Bolts come to town. NOT this year. I am so tired of watching this management team.
There are some players on this team that I still like but watching Rivers and Norv laugh and smile while they are beating the Chiefs made me sick. Off the hook again….. They beat the Chiefs!! Until these guys hire Real management that will kick a team in the ass when needed im over it. I am tired of explaining to Broncos fans why this team gives me no reason to support them. When Craig Wheelihan was replacing Ryan Leaf at QB I still supported them for christ sake. Not untill changes are made…Real ones.

This is rediculous and embarrassing! Im fed up of getting my hopes up. Norv and AJ need to be 86’d already! We need a promising QB too. Rivers, you are more cold than hot this season! I hate when you throw your crybaby fits on the field! Blame em on yourself punk! Your veterans are kicking ass every game and as I can see, Weddle seems to be the more consistent player now! Ya’all need to follow his lead! STOP GETTING LAZY IN SECOND HALVES!!! Since the Denver game…..you have been shittier and shittier!

  20. By Angry Fan on Nov 12, 2012 | Reply

Dear Spanos! take note from the Lakers owners. AJ and Norv must go!!!!!! Bench Rivers for a game or two.

  21. By Jim Nesbitt on Nov 12, 2012 | Reply

Rivers is trying to hard, so hard he can’t run and throw and think at the same time. He was good once, but his time is up. Take him out and let our # 2 or 3 QB have a shot at it. It’s not Norv Turners fault Phil can’t throw deep or even a short pass with out it getting intercepted. Phil should try out for the Olympics as a shot putter, that’s the way he throws at times. Good luck San Diego.

we just gotta hope for RIVERS to remember his golden years and give us a couple more before we choose his succesor.
Next draft for chargers they better find GOLD.
A high profile TRADE is a must next year.
THIS season is over already unless a miracle happens. Must beat broncos, ravens, bengals and steelers, then carolina and jets and raiders.
MY PREDICTION 8-8 season and no playoffs AGAIN.
