The Chargers for years were the training camp for the 49ers. Hopefully our new GM might change this. Plummer, Dean, Johnson, on and on. Lets start stealing a few good men from the 49ers so we can be a Superbowl caliber team. Smith letting Byrd go this year only to have him back to cover for a hurt Butler and played fantastic ball, he's as sure a tackler as utler or Spikes and yet Mouton and English were held instead of him. I've been sickened by Smiths readings of a players value, case ans point Hester who looked like the best FB in the league compared to McClain. Adding Jared Johnson insted of elevating Barnes to the 1st tier. Adding Whitehurst and letting Jared Lee walk. Smith had an Ego problem in that if he didn't pick them they were already on their way out. A team is like a puzzle, it's weather they fit the role needed for this team. It is a team game asnd especially along the Oline which Smith dismissed as good enough. A OL doesn't have to have the biggest or quickest players. They have to be cohesive as a unit to be successful. Hopefully our new GM understands this team concept of getting players that compliment each other.
