I'm a 33 year season ticket holder, just had this season tickets price increased and for what. To watch another losing team and season. I'm so sick and tired about all the stadium talk. when first mentioned about tearing down the old qualcomm and building a new one on the existing site, it should have been done. It's been 10 years since and still no progress. San Diego, get your heads out of your a__ and find the money to build a new stadium or risk losing tons of jobs, tourists for the big event, and dollars for our economy. This city will be the biggest laughing stock around if we lose our football team and have what left, the Padres!! Come on now!!

If the Super Bowl will bring in $400 million to the city and I agree, we would likely host every 5-7 years if we had a nice stadium, why can't we invest in our future and get this done?! This is ridiculous!

If S.D. were to have a new stadium, of course we would host just as many superbowls as N.O.! Ever tried to take a piss during a sold out game? Your gonna miss at least a quarter of it if you do! Buy a beer? You have missed half the game. The place is antiquated...everyone in the org. and city officials are very aware of that. It is all political, and now a days, no one in any political position has ANY power. Too many whiny bitches on the other side to make anything happen. Good luck in LA Chargers. The sixth biggest city in the U.S. will have one major sport team (well kinda). Embarrassing!

They used the same old story to get the Petco park stadium built. Where is all the money that it is making the city going? Why isnt all our budget problems gone when that stadium was built?? Any money that a new tax payer paid for stadium makes will go right into the pockets of the owners, city and union officials. The average tax payer will see no benefits whats so ever. Only the business owners will see a very nice profit during a super bowl week. My meager bank account will not see any increases from a new stadium.
If I dont like where I live I move to another house, I dont expect other people to build me a better house.
If the Chargers dont like their stadium either build one yourself or move.
And dont forget to send a post card.

How hard is it to come to an agreement on who will fund the new stadium? The city knows it needs a new stadium if it can ever hope to host a Super Bowl. The team has invested millions into different options from Chula Vista, Oceanside, National City, to downtown. If the Spanos wanted to leave they could have a long time ago. How bout everyone stop letting ego's get in the way and find a way for the league, team, city, to fund it. If you are a die hard fan this is a no brainer. I would pay a little bit more in taxes for my team to stay here AND get a Super Bowl quality stadium.

How bout we ask the Kumeyaay nation put in on it too.? They are native San Diegans. We have a bunch or business here in San Diego that could help out also. The only way this is going to get done is as a team. Our city deserves a new stadium. Build one.

I've been a Charger fan since the mid 60s and it's clear to me that after years of nothing even close to getting done for a new stadium that the ownership has no reason to commit long term to a city that can't understand the benefits of keeping a billion dollar business in the city. The elected officials as well as the residents all seem to have the same ideas that "we don't want to help pay for a new stadium, but we would love the benefits that it would bring" What a waist of time talking about a Super Bowl in San Diego when no one involved can figure out a way to get to that point. If the league saw any serious interest at all in the voters/politicians to build a new stadium they would commit financial support like they did in San Francisco and other cities that were serious and got it done. I hate the thought of the L.A. Chargers, but i'll bet it closer than anyone thinks it is. How long do people think the ownership will wait for the the do nothing city of San Diego to do something? It's a business to the Spanos family and a game to everyone else, not a good combination.

This year the Qualcomm Stadium celebrates it's 46th birthday. As far as I know it's the oldest stadium that is Super Bowl eligible (Can't host the Super Bowl in Green Bay). I now live in St. Louis and the City is talking about getting the Rams a tier one stadium though the Edward Jones Dome is only 18 years this year!

Come on San Diego what seems to be the problem?! SD is bigger in size and population than STL and yet they have a higher chance than SD in getting what they want. What is wrong with this picture?!

It doesn't matter where in SD a new stadium is built as long as it is in SD County we will still have the SD Chargers.

Maybe the Chargers could do a fund-drive to see if people in the County would chip in and the Chargers could also chip in or something.

BUT THE CHARGERS MUST REMAIN IN SD COUNTY!!
